Brain Injury is a Family Affair

Family When someone experiences a brain injury, families and friends are often “out of the loop” and can end up needing as much or more support as the injured loved one. Yet, resources can be few and far between.

BRAIN BOOK® System sponsors several Internet resources for families. Most of these are separate and apart from BRAIN BOOK® System’s teaching services. They are in the form of e-mail discussion lists designed to support families who wish to network and share information, and also an advice column for persons with brain injury and their families, called “Ask Kathy M” (sponsored by the University of Missouri’s Traumatic Brain Injury Demonstration Project).

If you want to see how some of our students are doing, please click here and meet some of them. Feel free to share their stories of hope and accomplishment with your loved ones who have had a brain injury. Some of them have e-mail, too!
